Most of the children in Riverstown attended Cushenstown school since the 40's and many who came to dwell in the new homes in Riverstown also attended the old school which is now the Mahon residence. Phillip and Alan are two good examples - their grandad being the Christo referred to in the Castle page.  We will collect stories, photos, special memories, etc. etc.  Send email, photos, stories comments to John Wall

Here is an early photo of teachers Mrs. Dardis and Mrs. Lynch with their classes from Infants to Sixth class.  If you can identify anyone, please send an email. Click on thumbnail to enlarge.

Here is a group of 50's kids enjoying a break from school - in Riverstown, accompanied by friends (O'Connors from Clondalkin, Dublin).  Also a class and family group from the old school photos.

Happier times for Meath in '99!  All of Cushenstown school celebrated the great victory with a visit by "Sam" within a few days of the final.  Principal, Pat Dunphy, poses with staff and students.  Maybe we'll win again this year!
